Teen star to unusual mom

That was the tittle that was on my yahoo page when the hubby opened it up this afternoon. When I heard the words elimination communication come out of his mouth I just had to know what he was looking at. It was this article. Not the normal type of articles he looks at on the Internet. He sat and listened (watched) most of the interview. After it was finished he replied "She sounds like she could be your idol." I would not use those words but I was happy to see a mom in the public eye talking about her unconventional parenting styles. We need more moms like Mayim Bialik or should I call her Blossom.

You capture- Food

I came across this blog just a few days ago and as far as I can tell every wednesday she does what she calls a You capture. There is a subject and your job is to photograph it. It sounded like a lot of fun so I thought I would play along so here goes.

Who needs McDonnalds

I dont know if this one is more of the little man or the ice cream.

Our trip

I think maybe, just maybe, I am all rested up from our trip. It was so nice to just get away for five days and forget about all the thing that need to get done at home.
Family was wonderful. Staying with the in-laws in there trailer could of been a lot worse. I dont have any complaints. The little man enjoyed playing with all of his cousins. He did not know what to think at first but learned really quickly to just tell them to back off.
We will have to make sure that we plan another trip for next year, if not sooner.
Yesterday was a very emotional day. We attended the memorial for a friends mom who passed away on Thursday. I did not know her very well, but just two weeks ago she took us out for some REAL Korean food. We will miss you Halmony.

Going to the Ocean

Summer is almost gone, I cant believe it. So our family is taking a trip to go and play in the sand and salty water. The weather report says that it is going to be low60's, cloudy, and many chances of rain. I am still pumped. A little rain never stopped me, I am a Washingtonian. There is a few more things to get done before the 8am deadline to leave. I will be back with lots of pictures and maybe some great stories.

Mr. Independent

The little man has finally mastered the task of going potty all by him self. He can now go in the bathroom, turn on the light, lift up the toilet seat, and do all by himself.
My goal before this bun decides to come out of the oven was to get him to go all by his self. Completed.
He has even been going number 2 with out a potty seat witch is so nice. Now he can climb up on to the toilet all by himself. The only problem with this is he can than climb down by himself and pull up his pants. Thus creating a mess on the potty and in his pants. Next step wiping which I have been told that takes along time.
Yesterday he was dancing around the living room when I asked him if he needed to go. He replied yes and than ran outside. Not really knowing what he was doing I followed him only to see this...

When I asked him what he was doing he replied "peeing grass." I guess I was asking for it. Since we ave been out and about this summer we have been doing lots more peeing outside. Hopefully when the weather gets a little colder he will venture back inside.

A few last days of summer

Friday night baseball. Our family had an enjoyable night at the Tacoma Rainier's game on Friday. It was one of the shortest baseball games I think that I have ever been to. Only 2 hours. Following the games there was fireworks. Last time we went the fireworks did not start until after 10pm and this game they were done and over by 9:20pm. It made it nice because the last game the little man fell asleep just before the fireworks and this game he was wide awake. We will have to see if we make it to anymore games this season.

Saturday morning Parade and Picnic. Our little town of Milton hosted there yearly "Milton days" on Friday and Saturday. The little man enjoyed watching the parade minis the clowns and the horns on the firetrucks. We all sat on the sidewalk sipping hot coco.

But half way through the coco made it thought the system and when you got to go you got to go.

The face of a very happy boy.

Getting back into the swing

It has been so long since I have blogged I have almost forgot how. I thought it would be like swimming. I guess I just need to jump in and not look back.
The little man went back to sleep this morning after waking at 8:30am and slept until noon. It was nice to have a morning to get some house work done that I has neglected yesterday when I was not feeling well.
So with waking at noon he did not take a nap so he was down for the night at 8pm. I dont think that he has ever gone to sleep this early ever.
I will end with a picture I just have to share. Everyone out there with a toddler can relate.

I am back

Since it has been over 5 months since I have posted I should do some recapping.
The little man is growing like a weed. He is now two with a whole head full of blond curls (I dont know if I should leave them or cut then?).

The hubby is still out of work but hopefully he will be getting a job soon. I can only keep praying. He is nice to have around the house but somedays I just dont know what to do.

Well as for me I am a year older and I have a bun in the oven! I am about 11 weeks along and I am feeling great, other than this morning when I threw up a few times. It has been a while since I have had morning sickness but this almost feels a little like a bug of some sort. Than my hubby had to go and tell me about a pregnant women in Puyallup that just died from the swine flu. If I am not paranoid enough.
I am just having fun living life and loving it.
