My new adventure

I decided a few days ago that I was going to start using cloth diapers a few times a day to keep the cost of diapers down. But to my surprise I really like them. I had some cheap 2x4x2 pre folds that I put on him with a pair of plastic pants on the outside. He thought they were really fun to pull down.

A few days later I sewed up a few 4x8x4 diapers out of flannel and a few old T shirts. They worked really well. They are much softer and more absorbent. (They look cute also) I also took a trip to Best Loved Baby in Tacoma and bought some snappis. Now he can wear the diapers around the house without the plastic pants. I am looking into buying some nicer covers. When I told my mom about what my new adventure she handed me about five yards of this really funky flannel. The diapers may look different but they should work.

The greatest thing about the cloth diapers is when the little man has to go poo it is much easier to get him on the potty. (It is REAL obvious when he is going) Monday I did not have to change a poopy diaper!!! He loves to sit on the potty.

A day with the family

Yesterday we went over to my sisters to celebrate her and her husbands 10 years of being together. We had a enjoyable time. The little man just made himself at home by playing with all of his cousins toys. My hubby and I ate so much food that we weren't really hungry for lunch today. My sister made a wonderful potato salad, and there were piles and piles of ribs. The little man just wanted to eat chips and cake. He does not know what he was missing out on.

The little man enjoyed the chickens and horseshoe pits. He kept calling the chickens doggies and even tried to climb over the fence. He also thought the horseshoe pits were a great place to sit down and throw sand. He was so dirty and tired by the time we went home he was asleep before we made it to the main road.

Check this out cousin

Boys and Cars

Today we go in the hot road and drove up to Covington to go to a show and shine. There were about 260 cars there but we were the only ones with a green 71 Chevelle. It was fun but it was a little hard for the little man to be around all the cars for 4 hours and not be able to touch them or play inside of them.

How do you put these things on?

Waking up on the wrong side of the bed

After spending an hour this morning crying and screaming at me I found what made him stop. It was not nursing. It was not his blanket. It was my old Little Le Mutt.
When he would not stop crying I decide we would go for a walk. As I was picking out some clothes in the closet he saw this Le Mutt sitting on the shelf and started laughing. Once I handed it to him there were no more tears. Who knew.

His new puzzles that he loves

Finally a happy boy

Doors are now closeing... if the little man does not open them

My wonderful hubby finally put up ALL of the cabinet doors in my kitchen. I am so excited. I finally have a kitchen that almost looks finished (still no drawers).
My little man is getting so big. A few days ago I put him in his first pair of double Velcro shoes. He has shoes but these white tennis shoes made him look all grown up. (Who knows how long they will stay white?)

Watering with his little watering can.

Sound asleep on the couch.

Our church does a big community block party on the 4th. The little man and I spent most of the morning up there.

The little man ready for all the fun.
