Making a green treat

Today the little man and I decided that we needed to make a green treat to share with our friends tonight after our dinner of corned beef.


So we decided to make green rice crispy treats.


The little man was such a big helper.


But I think that his favorite part was licking the spoon.


The little lady helped also by sleeping so soundly and looking so cute.

**Notice my clean counters. A big thank you to my hubby for putting in my drawers in the kitchen and main bathroom. It only took 5 years but they are finally in and that is all that matters.

I have a new understanding

I understand now why people quit.

I know understand what many other moms have voiced.

I hate breastfeeding right now.

If I did not know that it gets better I think that I would give up.

The little man was a great nurser. I dont remember it being this hard. Maybe it is just one of those things that you forget. Or it could be that my most resent memory of nursing was just a year ago and a two year old that could do everything on his own.

I know it will get better. I know it will. I know it will.

I wont give up.

One week

I has been one week...
since I last felt you move in my belly.
since you made your way into the world.
since I first saw your tiny face, held your tiny hands, counted your tiny toes and kissed your tiny head.


It had been a week...
since I became a mama of two.
since we became a family of four.
since I found more love in my heart than I ever knew possible.


It has been a week full of many emotions.
Tears of joy, sadness, and unexplained emotions.
Many moments of laughter, happiness and love.

It has been a week that I will never forget.

The little man loves the little lady

The little lady joined our family this morning at 5:33. Weighing in a 7lbs and 6oz, 22 1/4 in. long. Everything went just as planned.

Birth story to come. It was short and sweet just like I wanted.
