Blood and Drool

Now that my little man is 10 1/2 months he is giving me a little taste of what it is like to be a boy. On Friday he was exploring the house, like he always does, when I notice blood mixed in with the little bit of hair that he has. I started looking all over his head for the cut and I did not find it until I noticed there was blood on his finger. He had cut his finger. I washed it off and it was still bleeding. I tried putting a band aid on it but he just took it off. I tried just letting play thinking that it since he is so little, "how much could he bleed?" That was the wrong choice. He got blood in 4 room, on the floor, the coffee table and all over his sock. I was out of ideas and he was still bleeding, so I called my mom. While on the phone with her I tried to hold him still and keep a wash cloth on it. He was so mad at me for holding him still I was having a hard time hearing my mom. She suggested placing a sock over his hand and pining it to his shirt. When I got off the phone it was not bleeding very much, so I save the sock idea for next time.

I tried to get a picture of the little mans fat lip but you cant see it very well.

On Sunday, we were dropping him off in the nursery at church. He is starting to really enjoy being in there and playing with the other kids. He was not in there longer then a minute when one of the other little boys came up to him to give him a hug, but pushed him down on accident. When he fell down he bit his lip causing it to bleed. The blood mixed with his massive amount of drool and made the blood look like more then it was. Once he calmed down he was ready to play again. I guess this is just the start of the many accidents to come.

Learning to eat

When we started introducing solids at 6 months it sounded easy: Give him a little food one time a day for three or four days and then try a different type of food if there was no reaction. I think that avacado is the only food that he ate for three+ days, it was the only food he would eat for a long time. Once he learned to feed himself this all changed. The food does not always end up in his mouth but it is more fun that way. Now he will eat almost anything and gets mad when I dont let him eat what I am eating.

A Breakfast of yummy oatmeal. I guess my little man is all done eating when his bowl is empty even though there is oatmeal every where.
