I am back

Since it has been over 5 months since I have posted I should do some recapping.
The little man is growing like a weed. He is now two with a whole head full of blond curls (I dont know if I should leave them or cut then?).

The hubby is still out of work but hopefully he will be getting a job soon. I can only keep praying. He is nice to have around the house but somedays I just dont know what to do.

Well as for me I am a year older and I have a bun in the oven! I am about 11 weeks along and I am feeling great, other than this morning when I threw up a few times. It has been a while since I have had morning sickness but this almost feels a little like a bug of some sort. Than my hubby had to go and tell me about a pregnant women in Puyallup that just died from the swine flu. If I am not paranoid enough.
I am just having fun living life and loving it.

Rain, rain go away

I understand that I do live in Washington but it still does not need to rain for a whole week. Before today I had not gone for a walk since lass Friday and I was having withdraws.
Between rain storms and since the little man is feeling better he was able to play outside for a little while.

Maybe this coming week the rain will stay away long enough so that I can plant some seeds in my garden and maybe go for a walk or two.

What we have been up to

It has been a long time since I have blogged but I am just going to go back a week.
Last Thursday the little man started having diarrhea (not in the toilet either). It continued for a few days and than came vomiting. We are now over all of that but with a new problem, an ear infection. I was just talking with some people a few days ago about how he had never had an ear infection. I now know not to talk about that kind of things.
So yesterday he came into my room at 6am telling me 'ear hurt.' I thought maybe he just slept on it wrong. Nope. He kept talking about it hurting and we never went back to sleep that morning. After a quick trip to the doctor, some wonderful pink medicine, and a very long nap we are back to normal.

They are so cute when they are sleeping even if its in the middle of the living room.

I guess I have just gotten out of the loop. Maybe I will get bit by the blogging bug again soon but until than my blog is going to lay silent. So until next time.

Our Valentines celebrations

They all started on Thursday at MOPS where the little mans class decorated cookies and passed out valentines.

When I came down to get him this was the scene

but a few minutes later he was covered with pink sticky goo.
I thought that he was going to be bouncing off the walls because of all the sugar and food dye but he was as calm as can be.
Later that night the little man went over to my parents house while the hubby and I went out to dinner. We have gone out to dinner on Valentines day in years past but it is just a mad house. The little man did not even notice/ care that we were not there. Maybe we need to go out to dinner just the two of us more than just once a year.
Today for the 'real' Valentines day we went down to the Meadows at Chambers Bay to watch the hubby fly kites. There was not much wind so there was not much kite flying going on. We had a picnic. It was a very nice day, not too cold or rainy.

We got the little man a elmo kite that we were able to get up in the air for a little while.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentines day.

'Easier'

I find myself these days letting the little man do thing that the hubby would never allow but it makes life 'easier.' Like, it is much 'easier' to clean up a little water than tell the little man 900+ times to stay out of the dish washer during the 15 or so minutes that it takes me to load it.

And it is 'easier' to let him wash his hair with the water than the dishes.

The only flaw to this whole plan was that the hubby got home from work early and saw the whole thing. I bet you that if he was at home all day he would find things too that would make life 'easier.'
What are some things that you do that make life 'easier?'

Shadows on Groundhogs day

Just like Punxsutawney Phil did this morning we saw our shadows also. (I am not looking foward to 6 more weeks of winter) Today was a beautiful day so I bundled up my little man and his friend and we headed down to the local park. They both sat very well in the wagon. I was able to get a nice work out also pulling 50+ pounds of kids up one hill on the way to the park and up an even bigger hill on the way home.

The boys had a great time playing. My little man just cant get enough of the big tunnel slide.

I guess I could handle 6 more weeks of days like this.
